This blog is simply about the natural spots in San Diego where a person can take his or her dogs. We are very lucky in San Diego to be live in a very dog-friendly city. One of my sisters, for examples, lives in San Clemente,where Animal Control just has too much time on its hands, and spends a lot of time writing people tickets. Certainly, Animal Control does not have that much time on its hands here. Did you know this Saturday that various animal shelters were allowing the first 10 people to adopt a dog for free, and for older animals, it was unlimited. We actually went to the San Diego Animal Shelter, but there were just too many people there. Besides, we already have a yellow labrador named Wendy (formerly Wednesday from the Addams Family movie) that I adopted from someone on Craigslist, a poodle nnamed Baggie my gf adopted from someone who supposedly runs a "rescue shelter for poodles" (it is actually a scam), a female tabby OrangeKitty or Honey named we adopted from the shelter, and a cat named Sneakers that my stepson brought home from behind the Subway on Midway when he used to work there. Previously I wanted to adopt yet another yellow lab from the Labrador Rescue Society, but my family talked me out of it as being too much time and money.
At any rate, I will be taking Wendy and Baggie to various natural spots in San Diego in the next couple of weeks, and posting photos of them from those spots. These will include, unless inclement weather prevents this,Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, Dog Beach, Cowles Mountain, Rose Canyon, Tecolote Cayon, Mission Trails Park,perhaps Cuyamaca, and many, many others. Since it is supposed to rain on Tuesday and snow in the mountains,the days I can post may vary on the weather. Of course, the week before last, we had a heat wave in January,but I am writing this blog now--not two weeks ago. Of course, the rest of the United States was extremely cold. Actually, often people from other states visit San Diego in the winter, believing it is going to be as warm as Florida in February. They really need to learn to read a map and find out that the entire state of Florida is south of San Diego. Well, that is all for today
